Food Pantry at Ruthrieston
I had a conversation with one of the community today who asked the question, "does the community know that this food is on offer?" So to make sure the answer is yes, we thought we would make sure.
We are very lucky that Sheila volunteers for OLIO - Share More, Waste Less and has chosen us to benefit from the food she rescues from the supermarkets. There was a load delivered today, so please visit us when the centre is open and help yourself.
We are also blessed that #PillarsOfHope run the food bank with donations from CFINE and @@fareshareuk on a Friday 10-12 with Sheila also supplementing with the Olio donations.
Many people are apprehensive to take this food, but if it is not consumed then it goes to landfill, which is a terrible shame after all the care taken to produce it. So please come and take this food for yourself, neighbours and freeze it. It means we are all doing our bit for the environment and zero waste.
