Aberdeen Enamelling Group

Meet the Aberdeen Enamelling Group

This small group of enamelling enthusiasts, meet on the first Sunday of each month [apart from January] in the large meeting room at Ruthrieston Community Centre.
We start at 10 am and finish at 4 pm, generally stopping for a short ‘packed’ lunchbreak.

Participants work on their own projects and we share skills, materials and equipment. We work under the auspices of the Guild of Enamellers who have loaned us a small enamelling kiln, which is supplemented by privately owned kilns. Occasional ‘Guild of Enamellers’ workshops are arranged for the group, to develop skills, at extra cost.

Our meetings are relaxed, informal and untutored. We share chat, skills and techniques and have a good range of enamels and equipment all funded by the group members.

New members are welcome, preferably with some enamelling experience and a willingness to experiment and accept the surprise element of this engaging craft.
